After venting all my frustrations because of initial upgrading errors, I finally turned my WP 1.0.2 to WP 1.2. Yey! I did spend some time though fixing the index page and adding some plugins. There’s so many new plugins available here.

These are some of my favorite features from Word Press 1.2 Mingus:

• Sub-categories: Categories can be arranged hierarchically and infinitely deep. Multiple categories combined with sub-categories gives Word Press the most comprehensive taxonomy system of any blogging software available.
• Automatic Thumbnail Creation System: Word Press has a refined upload feature that automatically creates thumbnails any size you want.
• New plugin architecture: The new plugin architecture simplifies modifying or extending Word Press’ features. Plugins can now hook into nearly every action Word Press does.
• Post preview: Near-instant previews while writing or editing articles help you proofread and make improvements before finally presenting your work of art to the world.
