The Ugly, The Bad, The Good

There was a rumor that we had no classes today. *sigh* Sadly, it remained just a rumor. I would have so loved a break from school to have a little rest. Every other school had no classes though because today is the official oath-taking of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo as the Philippine president. It was held about 8am at Luneta. I think the celebration will be at Cebu.

And I think we’re going to have a typhoon soon. The wind is already “storm-level” strong anyway. The rain is really weird though - switching from downpour to drizzle in just seconds.

  • The Ugly. Hunbun’s Tri-isys internet connected got cut again. We have no idea why. So I’m currently on prepaid internet. *argh* It’s unbelievably slow!
  • The Bad. My flu has evolved to dry cough. I really don’t feel good. This is so bad because I’m feeling so light headed during all my exams. Btw, our Physics exam was not only difficult, it was unsolvable! I’d be incredibly happy if I get 40/80 which is passing. Oh, Math21 long test tomorrow…
  • The Good. I got the locker I wanted! Yehey! Smaller bags here I come! And no classes on Friday because it’s Faculty Day!

Sick and Tired

I have a throbbing headache. My nose is so runny. My throat is soar and very scratchy. I think I have the flu. *hehe* Which is positive better compared to the other people living in this house. My mom has sore eyes and my brother has amoeba. *ewww* I’ve been keeping my distance from both of them, less I get infected too. It’s hard enough not being able to breathe through my nose. Hm… the weather / atmosphere / air nowadays must really be conducive to bacteria. Yikes!

Tired? I feel so tired just thinking about what I need to do later (about a minute after I post this entry). I have Theology exam, Physics long test, Physics lab report, CS take home quiz all for tomorrow! Cram again? The worst thing about it all is that my Physics teacher is quite inept at explaining. (I’d rather not say he’s horrible.) *sigh* I’ll just try my best I guess and leave it all to fate…

Ateneo Cheer Rally

Wow! Guess what? I watched my first live basketball game today. Not by choice though just by chance. Like I said in my previous I hate PE rant, my PE101 teacher required us to watch today’s Cheer Rally @ 4pm. But hunbun, Dianne, and I arrived at The Blue Eagle Gym around 5:30. Late as usual because we preferred sitting around the caf munching on pork siomai. *lol* When we got there, I immediately asked where I can get my PE slip ‘validated’. We were given tiny sheets of blue paper to be stamped there as proof of our attendance. The girl said they started the validation process after the Cheer Rally. Gosh! I though I could get away with not actually sitting through the whole program. Oh, the gym was wall-to-wall people! Thanks to my ultra-pursuasive skills, we got good seats. I’ve got charm. :bleh:

After the Cheery Rally was a special game: Ateneo Legends vs Ateneo Blue Eagles. Hunbun wanted to see it (mainly because its free) and it seemed like a good decision because the line for PE slip validation was ridiculously long. The audience were so hyped up especially for their favorite players. Dianne and I, acting like starstruck teens, also cheered and screamed like crazy. Our faves are Fonacier, Chia, and Gonzales. The fight was a really really close one. The first few minutes alone were so exciting and fast-paced. Of course, some of the rookies were trying to strut their stuff. We kind of remarked that famous basketball players are so lucky because even if they’re not that good looking, girls swoon over them. :bleh: Popularity factor I guess?

Sometime during the game, Dianne and I bought some food from the Kenny Rogers stand: her box of muffins and my chocolate mousse. I loved the chocolate mousse! It was sweet and tasted just right. *yum* After 20 minutes, hunbun and I went down to check out the PE slip validation again. Yey! The line was not so long this time but still very thick though. Luckily I managed to squeeze through and get my slip stamped! We decided to buy bottled water because all 3 of us were thirsty. I handed hunbun the chocolate mousse I was eating to pay for the drinks. When I asked for it back, hunbun gave me a blank stare then a really goofy grin. He actually threw my chocolate mousse in the trash can absentmindedly. It’s not even half-empty yet. Oh well! Speaking of half, the game’s half-time attraction was the Little Blue Babble Boys. They’re so cute! Especially the chubby one because he had a hard time following the others - that made him extra adorable in my eyes.

P.S.: The Ateneo Blue Eagles won.

I Hate PE!

Early this morning, I wished to the heavens for rain. And rain didn’t only come, it poured! I was so happy because I knew our 1 mile run for PE101 wouldn’t go through if it was raining. :bleh: But the rain stopped just in time at about 11:30. I was still happy because the floor was so slippery. It wouldn’t be safe for us students to run on wet floors right? No… Our PE teacher still forced us to go through with the endurance tests. *argh* I am aware that I am so unfit. I don’t do exercises nor sports. Eh?! That’s why I had such a hard time running - well half running, half walking. I even developed a head ache along the way. I had difficulty breathing which I attribute to my asthma. It’s a good thing I’m not fat - or else I wouldv’e fainted. Yikes! I did it in 12 minutes and 18 seconds. Good enough for me. I thought after the 1 mile run we were done, but we still had 2 more tests to go through. Women’s modified push-ups and sit-ups. The teacher even scorned at me (scorn!) because I didn’t have the right push-up posture. Hello? I’ve never done push-ups before what do you expect!? He told me to stop what I was doing because it was useless. How I wanted to strangle his neck! I hate hate hate PE101! I wouldn’t even take it if it was not required. To top it off, the whole class was required to attend the Cheer Rally on Friday at the Blue Eagle Gym. *ugh* I hate crowdy, sticky, smelly, dark places!

After that PE class, I had no more energy. I felt like a ghost devoid of all that is good and happy. I couldn’t bear to walk or carry my humongous books. I needed hunbunch. Thank you for lifting all the weight of my shoulders (both literally and figuratively). I gulped down 2 bottles of Gatorade Frost. Hunbun commented that I looked as if I got ran over by a truck. I looked that hagard and stressed. Well, I felt that way. I even met a friend on the way to Xavier Hall, she looked at me as if I was sick. Eep! I need a lot of sleep, sleep, sleep….
