Angel Theme

I was inspired to make an angel style yesterday. The photo from Stock Exchange is originally black and white. I edited it to become lilac - my favorite color. The angel in the photo reminded me of myself these days. I feel really contemplative and kind of moody. The quote “I’m carrying the entire world today, it’s too big for me. So dear Lord, I was wondering if you could carry me.” was taken from the book Stories for a Teen’s Heart 2, a present from my hunbun. It really made an impression on me. Most especially because I just used that quote as an ending to an essay entitled “Why Do I Believe In God?” I love the simplicity of this layout and its colors.

Oh, if you prefer the previous layouts, just click on the links under the style submenu.

Oopsie!

This morning while I putting on my new sandals, mom suddenly had a bright idea. :haha: She said she had a brand new pair of sandals exactly my size that would perfectly compliment my blouse. The sandals were not exactly my type but they fit right and matched my red blouse. She was so so so excited that I did not have the heart to say no. The sandals had a little steel ring that kind of hurt my feet. I thought I could just ignore that discomfort. Well, at about the middle of the day, I couldn’t bear walking fast. I was already limping. The steel ring was digging deep into my soft feet! *wah* Lesson learned anyway, that pair of sandals would never get near my feet again!

After school about 3pm, hunbun and I went to National Bookstore to buy some school supplies and books. All the books we needed were out of stock. *lol* I did buy some notebooks and pens though. Oh, I made a big boo boo… I asked a sales lady for my favorite Pilot G-Tec-C3 ballpen. Of course, I tested it first to make sure the ballpen wrote. Since hunbun was nowhere in sight, I was carrying a lot of stuff even the big wrapping papers. Too many things in fact that I couldn’t see anything in front. While closing (rather, trying to close) the cap of the pen, I bumped the guy directly in front of me. There was suddenly a long blue line across his white shirt. He was so pissed off, though his girlfriend (I think) was laughing her head off. I felt so mortified that I quickly “ran away”. Tsk tsk! Next time, you carry all the stuff hunbun. *hehe*

Yahoo and Google

Lauren sent me a Gmail invite today. Yey! You can now email me at gretch.santos@gmail.com.

Gmail makes email easy. With 1000 megabytes of free storage, you never need to throw messages away. And with a powerful built-in Google search engine, you no longer need to set up folders, file your mail, or remember where you stored your messages. Just search for what you want. You’ll not only find the message you have in mind, but all the other messages that are part of the same conversation – arranged in chronological order so you can easily put everything in context. Learn more here.

And my Yahoo! Mail has been upgraded to 100MB for free. I got an email from the Yahoo! Mail Team on June 15, 2004. It indicated the following additional benefits:

  • Increased storage capacity – from your current level to 100MB
  • Increase in total message size to 10MB
  • A streamlined interface that’s even easier to use

My Y! Mail loads really really slow, while Gmail is uber fast. That’s what makes Gmail really appealing. And 1Gig of email… Wow! But I’ll still keep my Y! Mail since I’m subscribed to a ton of Y! Groups - very very important for school. Btw, I finally downloaded the new Y! Messenger. It’s much better than I thought and it’s so cute! Hunbun and I made our own avatars. *hehe*

I’m Back!

It’s been a busy few days. I’m back from my Taiwan vacation (obviously). :bleh: And my phone line just got reactivated! *yey* I’ve been feeling out of sorts without my phone line and internet connection. Especially since school has started. So here’s what happened… Hunbun was going to use my phone last Sunday when a woman’s voice kept repeating that my phone line had been cut. I was informed that my bill hasn’t been paid for 2 months. Gosh! My brother blamed PLDT (the telephone company) for sending the bill only 1 day before it was due. After paying my overdue bills, my mom told me that I had to wait 3-4 days for reactivation. Thankfully I got it today! I’m so so so happy I have my phone line back.

Yap, school started yesterday. I can’t believe its only been 2 days since opening of classes. I felt as if I never went on vacation. *argh* I still need more rest! And homework has been piling up! It’s even harder because I’m deblocked for both Theo and Ma21. It’s a good thing Lori is my classmate for both.
