Snap Shots

Ha! I should be studying right now. But I feel I deserve a little break since I had a really stressful day. *sigh* I just spent 11 hours at school, 2 hours of which I had a Physics long exam. As expected, it was mind-boggling and hard. Just hope I pass. Anyway, I just remembered some pictures I took on my digicam months and months ago.

  • Jelly Baby - It’s my cute little jellyfish plushie! I bought her from Watsons during my recent trip to Taiwan.

  • Champorado - It’s a very yummy Filipino speciality. I think it’s also called Chocolate Rice Pudding. Yes, it’s exactly that, chocolate and rice! :bleh: I found a recipe here. Our maid prepared it as a snack.

  • Noteboks - *lol* Here’s the before and after pictures of the notebooks I wrapped. I love their colors, light pink, purple, and baby blue. It seems I had nothing much to do that day.

Celebration!

Yesterday was Celadon’s first general assembly, entitled “ETC” for Entertainment Celadon. *lol* My favorite part was the video showing. Narcissistically because hunbun and I were the lead roles in one of the videos. I played Helen of Troy and he, Paris. *awww* It actually turned out way better than I expected. We got a lot of compliments. And the mashed potatoes with extra-sweet gravy was really yummy! But… while I was getting my share of the food, this haughty girl on my left told me I got too much mashed potatoes. Hello? That’s all the food I took, I didn’t even get rice or chicken. I took another look after everybody had gone, there were still enormous pots of mashed potatoes left!

That reminds me about the Bratz, the exaggerated Barbie look-alike with abnormally big heads? They so look like the Mean Girls, especially Karen. We actually have our own version of those girls in the Ateneo. They’re a trio, always dressed to the nines, with thick makeup, etc etc. I don’t have anything against them personally. They just really remind me about Brats and the Mean Girls. *lol* Oh, and two of them were in the GA last night.

Today, we pre-celebrated hunbun’s 20th birthday! We went to our favorite mall, Powerplant. We watched Spiderman 2. I loved the happily every after for Mary Jane and Peter Parker. Everything else was just alright. I’m not a Spidey fan anyway. *hehe* Afterwards we window-shopped a lot and I bought hunbun a Precious Moments figurine to add to our collection. It’s a boy sitting in a recliner with chips, soda, remote control, and a cute puppy - very much like hunbun. :bleh:

We got into a lot of “minor mishaps” on our way home. Hunbun turned left on a no left-turn street. Then a cop suddenly came out of nowhere. Yikes! Thankfully, another car did the same violation and got reprimanded first. Hunbun immediately made a U-turn for a quick escape. I was feeling a little paranoid and thought out loud if the cops had walkie talkies to contact each other. After a few minutes, we saw another cop actually talking on his walking talkie. What a coincidence! We were so freaked out. Good thing we didn’t get caught.

Around the middle of our trip, hunbun was telling me about Marvel and DC comics. He was recounting the Infinity Wars (I think?), the trading card game, the Cross-Over between the two big comic companies, and the Celestial Beings. Basically, all the things I missed while playing with Barbie. Hm… It’s funny how he remembers so much about these stuff. Boys will be boys. I still prefer Barbie over comics anytime. :haha: Then, we started talking about theology and how taking Theology 121 wasn’t helping me at all. It wasn’t giving me the answers I needed. It was at that time hunbun completely forgot to take a left turn to my house. *lol* We ended up taking a much much longer way. We did get home eventually. And taking the wrong route has its benefits. We got a lot of time to be with each other, enjoy each other’s company, and just talk.

Look at the pretty chocolate birthday cake I got for hunbun!

Happy and Gay

Mom and I had a short conversation very early this morning. She asked why I was so conservative all of a sudden. Conservative in terms of clothes and fashion. For the last few weeks, since 1st semester started, all I’ve been wearing are t-shirts and jeans. Not much frilly, girly blouses and cute skirts - most of which she bought for me. She’s the type of mom who is very very into the latest fashion. I complained to her that my Physics teacher implemented a dress code. *argh* Bye bye freedom of expression! She immediately concluded that my teacher is female and an old maid. :bleh: In fact, my teacher is a guy! She just nodded and said he must be gay then. From her experience, gay men get very insecure of sexy women. They feel women steal the men away from them. *lol* I do think my Physics teacher is kind of gay anyway.

Although gay men really make the bestest of girl friends. They’re so fun to be with and usually have so much to talk about. My gay friends are bubbly, perky, and their laughter is very contagious. :haha: I’ve never met a gay woman-hater yet. Maybe my teacher is the first. *lol* Oh, I’ve already had two very out-of-the-closet gay teachers before. They do play favorites - most of the boys in the class get higher scores than girls. Hmmm?

I’ve been very productive today. Yey! I finally got some work done since I’ve been too tired to do anything last Monday and Tuesday. I spent all my free time at the library solving math problems. You know the old saying, practice makes perfect. Oh, I love the university library. Its environment is really conducive to studying. Compared to it, my high school library seems so small and outdated. Well, it really is. That’s why only grade schoolers go there to rent children’s books. Come to think of it, I’ve never borrowed any books there at all!

And advanced birthday to my hunbun Nathaniel! He’s celebrating his big 20 on July 19. Look, I made him a little token of love.

My T630!

I have a new cellphone! Yesterday, I bought a white Sony Ericsson T630. Hunbun just bought the exact same model and color a few weeks ago. It’s such an improvement from our old cellphones: Nokia 6510. Yey! I finally have a colored cellphone with camera! *lol* My T630 is so cute, because it’s small and the backlight is color pink. A slight difference so hunbun and I can distinguish our phones.

Hunbun and I watched Mean Girls with my brother and sister-in-law at Greenbelt 3. We were just in time for the last full show (10:30pm). While waiting, all of us went to Timezone. *haha* My brother and his wife were already in their late 20’s and they still enjoy going to the arcade. And they’re so good at the Dance Dance Revolution. It’s like they were putting on an exhibition. They were so in sync with each other. Meanwhile, hunbun and I went to Van Gogh’s workshop to get our picture done. :bleh: Here’s the outcome. It’s so-so.

Brushed Portrait of Us

The movie was good! I loved the humor and good sense of fashion. *lol* Must be because I can relate to the plot. Although, I’d never have a “burn book”. Why risk the chance of someone finding out your secrets right? Oh, I want the princess room of Regina! Their cafeteria was “clique”-ified, meaning each table belongs to a particular group of people. I think almost every school is like that. Very very true. Hm… I’d probably belong to the “cool asians” clique in the movie. :haha:

We got home about 2am. Yikes! And I brough the wrong set of keys to my house. I had to wake up the maids. Next time, I have to check what I put into my bag.

I added a links section. Just leave a message if you to link exchange okey? I’d love to have more friends.
