Recollecting Hopes

My Theology121 class had our recollection at Tagaytay last Sunday. *lol* I thought it was a bit too much to have an out of town excursion just for half a day of talks and mass. Everybody else had their recollection at the school chapel. Anyway, I had no choice because everybody else wanted to go. The fee was Php500. *ouch* I feel robbed! I woke up uber frantic that day because it was already 6am. *ack* The class was supposed to meet at 5:30am. My mom forgot to wake me up and I didn’t notice that my alarm clock went off. Even though I was terribly late, I absolutely could not go out without a bath. I was so fast that I’m sure I beat some sort of world record with my showering speed. :bleh: Good thing my brother can drive really fast and that there was someone who arrived even later than I was.

The coaster my classmates rented was unbelievable! It’s the ultimate way to travel - somehow makes the Php500 worth it. We held the recollection at an SVD seminary center. It’s like a mini-park with lots and lots of pretty flowers. Our teacher requested an Ateneo alumna to give a talk. She’s currently taking up masterals in religious studies but she is an atheist. Very unusual. Her “recollection methodology” was very casual too. She probed our heads and got us thinking about faith, religious faith inclusive. Afterwards, the confession booth was opened. I opted for it since my last confession was back in high school (2 years ago). I’m not sure if its only psychological but being absolved of my sins maked me feel better.

My classmates wanted to explore Tagaytay a little more before we headed to Manila. I, as Gretch the party pooper, wanted to go home. I’ve been to Tagaytay more often than I could remember. But I was outvoted by the majority again. So we headed to Picnic Grove. Eep! What a dirty park with absolutely nothing to do. Lori and I immediately got back into the cozy cozy coaster. When we got there, the boys were having a joke fest. *lol* Of course, most of the jokes were green ones. They were really funny. :haha: Pardon the cliche but laughter is seriously the best medicine.

This morning I had free cut for both CS110 and Th121, except both were unannounced so I still went to school at 7:30am. Gosh! What a waste of time when I couldv’e slept in. I wouldv’e appreciated the free cuts if they were on another day, especially if I had long tests or midterms for another subject. Oh, I was so depressed Monday morning because of the really bad news. My Physics exam coincides with my Math exam. That’s seriously wrong! But my Math teacher just gave me hope she would postpone the Math exam. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I need all the help I can get.

Awww… you forgot to mention that your cute and handsome Bunchie fetched you from school! Hehe! :bleh: Anyway wub, I’m so glad that one of the two tests might be postponed! Actually, I was feeling sad because I don’t want my Boo to be burdened by consecutive tests! Grr Physics and Math! And Accounting and Philo too! Hehe! (Linalabas ang hinanakit!) Anyway, when I fetched her from her recollection, she was telling me all sorts of jokes! I was laughing because she was just so adorable! I already knew some of the jokes but I let her say it because she was so cute and irresistable! Hehe! I hope to spend more lovey dovey times woth you Boo!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you! LOL. I probably would’ve felt the same way if I’ve been to the same place many, many times before. Then again, I usually get amused easily . . LOL. That sounds nice though. You guys went out of town to do your recollection. Everybody usually just does it at school, or so I’ve read because I never got to participate in one. Well, take care!

Wow! I’ve never been out on a recollection. Makes me wonder how it feels. I know a lot of people who say that after recollection, they feel like an improved being. Hmmm…
