A Royal Affair
Yesterday, hunbun and I went to Greenbelt Expo Exchange to check out the place for Celadon’s major concert party. We’re the logistic heads. It was much smaller than we expected and less grand. *hehe* Their make-shift backstage was so little that I doubt would accomodate all the models for the fashion show. And we couldn’t figure out where the artists (bands) would stay before the show itself. Well, I sure hope we find a way soon because this place is most probably the event’s venue already. Other venues we checked out were either too little or too expensive for our budget. The Ateneo’s college covered courts is another option but I am strongly against it. For me, being in a school atmosphere would not encourage people to buy tickets for the concert. *sigh* And we would attract less people from other schools to go. It’s just not a “party place”.
The core group had a short meeting at Jollibee afterwards. Hunbun and I bought hot fudge sundaes since we already had lunch at home. Hm.. I still prefer McDonald’s food.
We basically aired out our rants about the place, but nothing was settled yet.
It was about 3:30 in the afternoon and we had a lot of time to spare before Pinnochio the Musical which was to start exactly at 7:30pm. Hunbun and I went back to Greenbelt 3 to watch Princess Diaries 2: A Royal Engagement. We actually planned to catch the 3:55 showing but it was already sold out, so we ended up watching the 4:45 movie. Next time, I’ll reserve online at Ayala Sureseats.
The movie was uber wonderful! It has so much kilig or swoon factor. Anne Hathaway and Chris Pine have an enormous on screen chemistry together. Princess Mia’s clumsiness is a plus factor too. It’s one of the best romantic comedies ever!
I love the happily ever after feeling of the story and the girl power message. I want to be a princess.
It’s a childhood dream of mine. Hm… since I already have my Prince Charming, all I need is a tiara to go with it. *hehe* Oh yeah, I need a fairy tale sounding land to rule over too.
Afterwards, we rushed to Greenbelt 1 again for Pinnochio. We were ushers. I’ve been an usherette dozens of times before, but this proved to be the most challenging assignment. There was an obvious shortage of ushers and the patrons were proving to be difficult to work with.
They sat themselved into the wrong seats. And when asked to move, they got angry. I needed to explain over and over again that other people paid for those seats. One particular American mom got really frustrated because she paid Php400 for each ticket, when we were only selling those for Php250. She got ripped off and was pouring it out on me. I was already being helpful volunteering to be an usherette. I don’t need that kind of treatment!
Anyway, the musical was nice. I’d probably would have enjoyed it more if I weren’t accompanying people to their seats all the time. A lot of people were oh so fashionably late. I must have lost a few pounds running up and down the stairs. *lol*
And I had my picture taken with the Blue Fairy and Gipetto.
The musical ended around nine-ish. Hunbun and I had dinner at Soleil. It’s an upscale Italian restaurant, I think. I was drawn to its pristine white atmosphere. I ordered French Onion soup. Soups always have that soothing effect on me.
Our food was yummy, but I don’t think we’re going back there again. *heh* I love spending quality time with my Prince Charming.

Hello wubbie! Hehe! Well Me and Bunch had a wonderful time together! I won’t make comment on GB Expo na kasi Bunch said everything that needs to be said na
Anyway, yes I must agree Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement is a good movie to watch WITH my Bunch hehehe! Well, I probably won’t watch it by myself but if I’m with Bunch, it makes a whole lot of difference! I love seeing my Boo smile, giggle and be “kilig” over the different scenes in this movie! She made me smile so much
Well, the ushering of the musical Pinocchio was… well… alright. I wasn’t that tired because I didn’t have any trouble with anybody there. Well, I was about to since Bunch took a really long time and I was worried. It was also so dark there that I couldn’t see her. When I spotted her, I ran to the other side to accompany her but she was already going down. Oh well hehe!
I spent my evening with the girl of my dreams
I’m so happy! Hehe! Yeah Soliel did have good food but they were quite expensive hehe! But still, as long as I’m with my Boo, I’m very very very happy
By the way, this was our first time in Greenbelt with me driving. Usually, we go to Power Plant for movies hehe or Theater Mall for shopping! Yeyness! Haha!

Oh I know what that is like. I had to be an usherette and everytime I would tell people that they were seating in the wrong seats, they would give me this look. Some would even mumble hurtful words, but I just let it slide.
PD2 was a cute movie. I liked the whole love story as well. Nakakakilig talaga! =)

Been hearing that PD2 is a great movie, I don’t really have the time to go to cinemas, kaya siguro hintay nalang sa DVD/VCD. ;)

sounds like you had so much fun with your ‘hunbun’
Romantic comedies are cool. Wow, that American is just mean… Musicals are always really nice and inspiring to watch, for the performers have great, melodious voices. Take care!
