Something New

Last Thursday, someone stole my Bible. Actually, it’s hunbun’s Bible. I placed it on the table beside mine while I was taking my math long exam, which was extremely hard. Afterwards, it just disappeared. *poof* I looked and looked to no avail. My theory is that one of my classmates must have mistook my Bible as his. *sigh*

Friday the Thirteenth was an okay day for me. My math teacher gave us our first free cut, yay! Getting extra hours of sleep always makes me happy. Oh, my sister told me this disturbing news. Apparently, everyone in the Filipino-Chinese community already knows about it. A 12-year old girl from a Catholic all girls’ school got pregnant by her 22-year old boyfriend and neighbor. She came from a divorced family and my mom said that her parents weren’t present enough in her life. Her dad sued the guy and actually landed him in jail. But the girl threatened to commit suicide if the so-called love of her life is kept in prison. *frustration* She is obviously still a little girl and does not understand what she got herself into, what more the huge consequences of her actions. When I was 12, I was blissfully unaware of life’s complications. That just one mistake and your whole life is shattered… She’s now only 3 months away from being a mom. And she’s not even a teen yet! Her pedophile boyfriend did not even had the wits to use protection. How stupid was that? I just hope that the guy has the guts to be responsible for what he did.

Anyway, I had my hair cut today. *hehe* My mom, my boyfriend, and I all went to Bench Fix Salon in Ortigas. Hunbun just got his usual trim. Mom and I had the same treatment. I think it’s called the Deep Restoration Treatment to make your hair smoother, silkier, stronger, and shinier. :bleh: I told the hair stylist to cut just 3 inches from my long long hair, but he chopped off more than 5 inches. Oh well! I think it suits me and made me look younger. The last time I had my hair this short was my freshman year in high school, about 6 years ago. Here’s my new hair style.

Then my mom treated us to Teriyaki Boy and dropped us off at hunbun’s house. The two of us went to Powerplant, our favorite mall. We watched The Village. Too bad there weren’t any love seats left so we settled for the normal seats. Oh yeah, don’t watch that movie. It’s unbelievably bad, the worst movie of all time. It’s supposed to be some kind of horror thriller flick right? It didn’t even got my heart racing. The plot itself is outright ridiculous. What a total waste of money!

Star Theme

Yayness! It’s been more than a month since I made a new layout. :bleh: Obviously, it’s inspired by stars. I do hope that the wishes I made on the stars will come true. *hehe* I wanted something light, girly, and fun since I’ve been down lately. Oh, hover over any of the links on the meny bar on the right. Do you see the pink and yellow stars? Making new layouts make me feel happy, a kind of therapy I guess.

Busy Week

It’s been such a busy week! Aside from the heavy academic workload, I have so many favors to do for my brothers and sister. :bleh: I finally finished the Little Mermaid invitation for my niece and the Elmo invitation for my nephew. I’m currently updating the price list for our business. I think I’m all out of my creative juices. *hehe*

I had my CS midterms last Thurday. It was mind-blowing hard. The hour and a half of examination time was not even enough for the first part of the test. I just did the best I could. I’d be unbelievably happy if I get a passing mark. *sigh* It was almost 8pm when we were done taking the test. Hunbun picked me up and he sensed I was really depressed. Being the sweetheart that he is, he knew the way to make me happy is through my tummy. :haha: Yummy food is an instant picker-upper for me, even though I’m not a big eater. We had dinner at The Barn, a somewhat expensive restaurant along Katipunan. His plan worked especially since I ordered my favorite chocolate milkshake. The sugar hit induced an instant happiness - endorphin rush. Oh, I made hunbun a little gift.

Anyway, I received great news the day after. My Math long test was postponed to Thursday! Yey! Thank you for keeping your fingers crossed for me.

Hunbun and I attended the Career Exploration Workshop yesterday. I had been looking forward to attending that seminar since I’m so confused whether to stay or to shift to another course. We did a lot of tests and exercises but I don’t think they was really helpful. I did realize that my dream job is still to be a stay-at-home web programmer or designer. But this Computer Science course does not make me happy anymore. I hope I’ll be able to sort things out with myself soon. That night, we (me, hunbun, mom, my brother, and his girlfriend) watched Garfield at the Powerplant. It’s a typical kid’s movie. I loved the yummy barbeque popcorn even though my teeth hurt so bad afterwards. I just had my braces readjusted. :bleh:

Recollecting Hopes

My Theology121 class had our recollection at Tagaytay last Sunday. *lol* I thought it was a bit too much to have an out of town excursion just for half a day of talks and mass. Everybody else had their recollection at the school chapel. Anyway, I had no choice because everybody else wanted to go. The fee was Php500. *ouch* I feel robbed! I woke up uber frantic that day because it was already 6am. *ack* The class was supposed to meet at 5:30am. My mom forgot to wake me up and I didn’t notice that my alarm clock went off. Even though I was terribly late, I absolutely could not go out without a bath. I was so fast that I’m sure I beat some sort of world record with my showering speed. :bleh: Good thing my brother can drive really fast and that there was someone who arrived even later than I was.

The coaster my classmates rented was unbelievable! It’s the ultimate way to travel - somehow makes the Php500 worth it. We held the recollection at an SVD seminary center. It’s like a mini-park with lots and lots of pretty flowers. Our teacher requested an Ateneo alumna to give a talk. She’s currently taking up masterals in religious studies but she is an atheist. Very unusual. Her “recollection methodology” was very casual too. She probed our heads and got us thinking about faith, religious faith inclusive. Afterwards, the confession booth was opened. I opted for it since my last confession was back in high school (2 years ago). I’m not sure if its only psychological but being absolved of my sins maked me feel better.

My classmates wanted to explore Tagaytay a little more before we headed to Manila. I, as Gretch the party pooper, wanted to go home. I’ve been to Tagaytay more often than I could remember. But I was outvoted by the majority again. So we headed to Picnic Grove. Eep! What a dirty park with absolutely nothing to do. Lori and I immediately got back into the cozy cozy coaster. When we got there, the boys were having a joke fest. *lol* Of course, most of the jokes were green ones. They were really funny. :haha: Pardon the cliche but laughter is seriously the best medicine.

This morning I had free cut for both CS110 and Th121, except both were unannounced so I still went to school at 7:30am. Gosh! What a waste of time when I couldv’e slept in. I wouldv’e appreciated the free cuts if they were on another day, especially if I had long tests or midterms for another subject. Oh, I was so depressed Monday morning because of the really bad news. My Physics exam coincides with my Math exam. That’s seriously wrong! But my Math teacher just gave me hope she would postpone the Math exam. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I need all the help I can get.
