New Contacts

Yesterday, I woke up debating with myself whether or not to wear my contact lenses. Why? Bausch and Lomb, my favorite, held an mini-eye fair at school and they’re giving away free eye check-ups. Free! And at the right them too, I haven’t had one for ages. I really want to know the current power of my eyes. Just hope I don’t get any blinder. *hehe* Since I’ve been wearing contacts for 7 years, I know that you need to rest your eyes for at least an hour to ensure accuracy of the check-up. :bleh: But if I don’t wear my contact lenses, I need to put on my glass which I haven’t worn to school since Grade 6! I feel extremely conscious and uncomfortable with them on around other people. Before, some of my friends commented that I look better without glasses. *sigh* Some people are really lucky to look the same with or without glasses.

My mom and hunbun advised me to get over my fear. Well, I just couldn’t do that right then and there so I made a little compromise. I went to school with my contacts on and took them off before my second class. I spent one class with glasses. Good thing I had this class with my blockmates, at least I feel more relaxed with them. They did tease me a little though. Afterwards, Hunbun accompanied to the booth since I’m too conscious to wear my glasses still. The optometrist measured my eye grade to be 375-375. Yay! My eyesight didn’t worsen. And guess what? Bausch and Lomb also gave away free contact lenses (good for one to two months)! They’re a little thicker to prevent easy tearing and very comfortable. I’ve been using their products (solutions, lubricants, and contacts) for a long time.

Hunbun and I went to Theater Mall around 3pm. Shopping again! I bought a few stuff: baby blue and white jacket, beige mini skirt, plain white shirt and delicates. We also bought a chocolate truffle from Leonidas’ Chocolates. It’s our new tradition, to buy a single chocolate everytime we see that tempting booth - for money and for our tummy’s sake. :bleh:

Oh, my brother bought a new dog. It’s a pitbull whom they named “Pit Pit”. *lol* She’s just two months old but quite big already. That breed grows so fast. Pitbulls are supposed to be really aggressive right, but she seems so shy. I wonder how they’re going to nurture her so that she can be a good watch dog. We also finalized the venue for the concert party: La Salle Greenhills Covered Courts. Hm.. Ateneans in La Salle, rival schools. We’ll see how it turns out. By the way, I have a few Gmail invites to spare. And I’m looking for more link exchanges.
