Circles, Cards, and College
Last Sunday, my family had a little get together. My mom organized a dice game for all of us especially for my neices and nephews. All I won were chocolate bars and some stickers. *lol* I wasn’t especially lucky that day, probably because I didn’t wear red. Yup, next time I should definitely wear red to attract the good forces of nature. 
I really enjoyed spending time with my family because we rarely see each other anymore. My siblings all have their own families and lives. And of course, hunbun played with us. He definitely added to my happiness factor. *hehe*
Yesterday I got my first alumni newsletter from my high school. 
Its entitled Full Circle. When I opened it, I instantly felt a tide of memories rushing back to me. I miss high school a lot. Most especially, I miss the people there. It was certainly one of the best times in my life. “Full circle” is an idiom meaning to arrive back at the starting-point of a chain of events. I don’t fit its definition as of now, but I’m getting there. I still haven’t come full circle, still haven’t fulfilled the purpose of my life.
College is stressing me out. I’ve been sleeping at 2am this week. I really lack sleep and it’s slowly getting to me. But all that hard work has its rewards. 
I got a B+ exemption in Physics21 final examinations! One of the two people who got exempted in class. Yay! Also, my CS110 teacher announced that I had the highest grade standing in his class. Hm… Next week is already finals week. Just two more projects and two examinations and the semester is over! Well, I’m expecting to get an A exemption on Theology121. *hehe* I’ve got to work exceptionally hard again for the next few days. I’m not sure if I’m going to make it to the dean’s list, but I really hope so. 
I’m uber looking forward to some rest and relaxation afterwards. Oh yeah, my random number for 2nd semester registration is 73! Yay, I get to chose good classes.
And Sinta calculated my soul card and shadow card using my birthday. As she explained it, the soul card is also known as the personality card. This is who you are and what you know of yourself fully. The Shadow card is the essence card. It is something deep within you that you had to discover or still need to. My soul card is the Wheel of Fortune while my shadow card is the Sun. I can really identify with the cards. I am a romantic and truly believe that there one special person for me in this world - and I have found him. 
- Wheel of Fortune: You believe in destiny. That things are meant to be and that you have a soulmate out in the world. You’re one to witness miracles and have good luck. You seek your role and purpose in this world.
- Sun: You find sense behind chaos. You’re an outstanding example for people around you. You have a high level understanding for things and can see the threads that weave this world.
[EDIT on October 9, 2004: Yay! I just got a text message from my Th121 professor. I got the exemption! And I made a new layout for my Tabulas blog.

I can’t say I miss my school. Most of the people there were liars or fakes. However, hope school won’t keep being so stressful for you. Congrats on getting a B+! ^^
The soul and shadow card thing sounds quite interesting, I like things like that, although I don’t really believe in it

I know how hard Computer Science is! I’ve been there and hindi ako tumagal. Haha. Anyway… at least you get good grades kahit todo puyatan na. And about your q, I go to CSB.

ehehe cool soul card… i like testing those stuff, you know, if they’re accurate or not, but i don’t take ‘em seriously.
i loe spending time with family though, as i am doing now (in carlisle) because we all have grown up and moved out, and i miss being with people i’ve known literally all my life.

yay im glad you did well on your exam… i know its tough
my brothers have a rough time during exam time and midterms also… but no matter how hard, i really want to get into a good university. only like..1 and a bit cos we send in submissions nxt year december..heh.

Red attracts the forces of nature and brings luck? Wow. I should wear red more often. It’s always nice to hang out with the family. I love it when my immediate family gets together because we always act like we see each other all the time. Wow! Your grades are awesome. I, on the other hand, am struggling this term. I’m sure I’ll do better if I just put my mind into it. I’ve been sleeping late, too. Ugh. College is stressful. Well, take care!

Wow.. you got exempted and then you have high grades pa.. you’re soooo smart.. and lucky.. wish I could be like you.. no wonder you passed ateneo.. anyway, aww.. high school memories? siguro pag wala na ako sa high school saka ko pa lang marerealize how fun is it.. kasi ngaun habang and2 pa ko sa h.s. parang stressed out lagi.

Aww… school’s really….stressing! grabe… I spent the first day of my sembreak in bed! I got sick… ahahaha.. Oh and congrats for being excempted in physics final exam and being the highest in class in your other subject~

I hate it when I lack sleep. I can’t concentrate and act like I’m drunk for the better part of the day. Anyhow, I hope college stress dies down a bit. *hugs* Alumni newsletters are interesting, I find.

I hope you get tons of sleep! Sleeping is everything to me
so I can not fall asleep during an important subject… I wish I had more family get togethers since both of my parents are at work and the only time we had one was during a hurricane.

Ooh… reading an alumni newsletter must bring back memories. I also feel that when I see the pictures from my other school I studied before… Sorry how college is stressing you out. I’m sure you can do it
