Looking Forward to Weekends
Summer school so far has been okay. It’s turning to out to be more demanding than I expected though. I only have 2 subjects but both of them are keeping me busy. SA21 requires a lot of paperwork and group projects. Good thing I can rely on my responsible groupmates. *hehe* FIS is not that difficult as a class itself actually but my teacher makes the quizzes incredibly hard! Especially with the right minus wrong test types.
At least both of my teachers give a lot of freecuts!
My computer suddenly broke down on me a couple of weeks ago. And just when I was getting the ending I wanted with Princess Maker 2. *sigh* I recently got it fixed at PC Express, Gilmore branch. It turns out that the power died and my video card was burned. Of course, I had to have them replaced which cost me quite a bit. Oh well, at least I have my beloved desktop back.
But I’m using hunbun’s laptop now since I can access my brother’s wifi through it. Yay for free internet! *heh*
Since hunbun and I are both really busy on weekdays, we make our weekends special.
On April 22, 2005, hunbun surprised me with this lovely bouquet of flowers since “he loves me”. *lol* That’s verbatim! He bought the arrangement from Holland Tulips in Podium after he had a dinner out with his officemates. As far as I can remember, this is my first ever bouquet with assorted flowers. *hehe* My boyfriend really does spoil me a lot.

Our 6th love anniversary together fell on a Sunday, April 24, 2005. Yes, we’ve been a couple for 6 whole years now! Time flies so fast when you’re in love.
And I can’t imagine anyone more perfect to share the rest of my life with than hunbun. *awww* We spent the day relaxed and just enjoyed our time with each other. About 3 in the afternoon, hunbun came over and gave me a gorgeous bouquet of 3 dozen roses (or 6 half-dozens for our 6 years of love *hehe*). We then headed to the new Gateway Mall which I’ve never been to before. But it was way too crowded for our liking that even its 450 square meter open-air interior garden called “The Oasis” couldn’t convince us otherwise. So hunbun and I opted to go to a Starbucks branch near Greenhills for a snack. We also bought our gift for each other at a Precious Moments store nearby. We added to our collection the “All Girls are Beautiful” figurine set. This includes a Japanese emperor and empress with three flower arrangements. Isn’t it precious?

We celebrated our anniversary dinner at Le Souffle, one of our favorite restaurants. We had a lovely table near the wine cellar which gave us a lot of privacy.
We ordered our favorite squid appetizer, chilean sea bass for me, top blade angus beef for him, and chocolate souffle for dessert. The ambience was perfect, the food was perfect, and even the service was perfect. We really had a perfect magical evening.
*happy contented sigh*

The next Friday, April 29, 2005, I visited hunbun’s workplace after school. Too bad I couln’t properly see his office because of a strict no-outsider policy. We had dinner at Jack Loft’s After Six Dessert at Eastwood. And watched Guess Who starring Bernie Mac and Ashton Kutcher. The movie was hilarious and we loved it!
Especially the “ebony… ivory…” part.
On April 30, 2005, we went to the Celadon Corporate and Finance Affairs Department Planning Seminar. I think we were the only two senior managers in attendance there. *hehe* We left at exactly 3 in the afternoon because hunbun was so excited to buy his PlayStation 2 game: God of War in Data Blitz. It really is a guy game with all its bravado and extreme violence. *hehe* Hunbun actually finished it today.
Since we were already in the Makati area, we window shopped in both Glorietta and PowerPlant. All we bought were food. I bought my favorite pork floss bread at Break Talk which is so yummy! We also tried out a new product: belgian chocolate soya milk by Soya Magic. Hunbun actually liked the taste but I didn’t. *lol* We had dinner at QC Sports Club.
I had my ethnography field trip for my SA21 class on May 1, 2005 which fell on a Sunday. I volunteered to be part of the donation group so we spent the first part of the bus ride repacking all the donated good into uniform plastic bags. It was a bit challenging to do because everything was moving.
We went to Calamba, Laguna then trekked into a maze of tiny roads and eventually arrived at a port. We rode rickety mini-boats from there which exposed us to the extremely hot sun and thankfully transferred to a much larger motorboat with a roof. We needed to ride even smaller mini-boats to get to San Luis, the island of the Rizalistas. *sigh* Upon getting there and receiving a few last-minute instructions from our teacher, we split into groups and subgroups to interview the locals. They told very interesting stories about our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, being the son of God. It sounded incredibly bizarre to me - being raised a Roman Catholic. For lunch, all the others had chicken and rice. Since Marge and I were allergic to chicken, we brought our own Sausage McMuffin burgers from McDonalds. It was my very first time having that burger and I loved it. Too bad they only served it for breakfast.
On our way back, we didn’t cross the water because the waves became very rough. We had to walk all the way to our bus!
Lori and I almost got lost because we were buying softdrinks and got left behind. *hehe* Good thing the locals were very friendly and helped us out. The way to the bus was quite an adventure. We had to walk in the middle of fields where there were snakes, we had to cross a stream by balancing on a single log, and my pant leg got stuck on a nail while climbing a wall. *lol* When we finally got on the bus, I had no more energy left in me and felt really out of shape. It was quite a workout! And to think I’m really not the outdoorsy type of girl.
The bus dropped us off at Ateneo where hunbun picked me up and brought me to QC for dinner again.
It was great that we had no class the next Monday because of Labor Day. I had the whole morning to rejuvinate myself. I really really needed all the rest I can get. *hehe* Hunbun’s mom invited us to dinner that night. We ate at Kaya (Korean restaurant) in Podium. There is a huge difference between Kaya and Kaya Express. Kaya provides much better service, larger portions of food, better ambience, and obviously at much higher prices. I’m contented with eating at Kaya Express since I have a limited budget and a small tummy. Oh, I bought a pair of black sandals at NafNaf since they were on sale.
On May 6, 2005, which was a Friday, Jaime celebrated his belated birthday pool party at his house. Some of us played Cluedo. I’m not sure if this is my first time playing this game but I learned I was good at finding out the murderer.
Oh, one of Jaime’s guy friends got him this really gigantic Hershey’s Kiss which I found weirdly romantic. I want one of those. *hint hint lol* Nata fetched me there a bit early. We had a slight problem in deciding that night. But we did manage to resolve our issues and had a yummy dinner at UCC in Podium .
I spent most of yesterday, from 8am to 4pm, in Acropolis for the Planning Seminar of CompSAt (Computer Society of the Ateneo). I had the position of “Associate Secretary General”. Actually, when I applied it was called “Secretariat Deputy” which did not sound quite as good. So we motioned for a change in our deputy titles. *hehe* It was really sudden that I became a part of an Executive Board of an organization, even a non-accredited one. I never imagined I’d be an EB ever.
It was a productive meeting and the proposed projects sounded really good. I hope we could push through with most of them. Afterwards, hunbun and I headed to Theater Mall. He really wanted to watch Kingdom of Heaven with me, so why not.
The movie showing time was past 7pm so we decided to shop a little before. I ended up buying 2 very pretty and girly skirts. Then, we had dinner at The Sugarhouse. We ordered Salpicado, my favorite frozen hot chocolate, and his favorite French apple pie.
Oh, we bumped into a couple of friends at the cinema. *lol* The movie was great! I thought it was going to be another of those boring war movies but I really liked it. The plot was well executed and Orlando Bloom played the part well.
Today is Mother’s Day! Happy mommy’s day to all your wonderful moms. This morning, my mom and I went to the Chan-Cu Association to claim my prize for being a good student.
I received Php600.00 and a bag for free! Then, together with my aunt, we went to Baclaran to shop. I bought 5 tops and a skirts at very inexpensive prices. *hehe*
We had a yummy lunch at Hap Chan nearby. Hunbun came over at about 6pm with the bouquets of flowers for my mom and my aunt. We ordered carnations originally but the flower shop was all out so we settled for mums. And finally, I’ve finished this incredibly long post!

Mums for moms right? Speaking of which I sent the driver to buy the flowers already but I think they don’t have carnations so I settled for pink roses ok? Anyway, it’s nice shopping with Bunch! I mean buying for her hehe
She’s so beautiful and I like to see her wear different clothes. I know she feels good about it so… Bunbun, yey you got a lot of new clothes! Hehe!
Also, I should say that I am very proud of my Bunchie who by the way got a PERFECT 4 for her final grade!
(amazing!) especially since her course is CS which is terribly hard! Congratulations!
Well, I liked Kingdom of Heaven but there’s something about it that feels a little weird. If you’ve watched LotR, you won’t feel that Orlando Bloom is the main character. I mean, he’s always been the sidekick of Aragorn in the movie so I guess it’s kinda weird seeing him at the spotlight. But, nonetheless, it’s a fantastic movie. Should’ve had more battle fighting scenes though hehe! Anyway, back to work! (or whatever it is I do here)
