Posers, Pixels, and Presents

It’s only been a few weeks of school and I already feel stressed out. *tsk tsk* There are lab reports to accomplish, programs to code, problem sets to solve, surpise quizzes to study for. Eep! Not to mention my responsibilities to my beloved organizations. Most, if not all, of my time now is spent on academics.

Anyway, I’ve been occupying myself with a new pixelling addiction lately. My Hello Kitty faerie is my first ever pixel and I’m quite proud of it. I made two version of Miss Rabbit - my second pixel. Someone already bought that at DMB. I didn’t think anybody would want my newbie-ish avatars. *hehe* I also tried my hand at pixel characters. The ballerina care bear is really adorable!

Last last weekend, I had driving lessons care of hunbun. I drove his Mazda around the campus because he wouldn’t let me take it out yet. Hmph! I really love being in control of the wheels. *lol* But I can’t seem to master looking at all the mirrors. It takes practice and experience. On June 18, 2005, we attended Celadon Make-up Formation Seminar since bunnie was sick hence we missed the actual event. Afterwards, we went to MegaMall in search of the laptop accessories I wanted which were sadly unavailable. I did buy a mini vacuum keyboard cleaner which really satisfies my OC tendencies. :bleh: Hunbun actually has a more in detailed journal entry on our weekend entitled Sick Nata and Back to School.

On June 22, 2005, CompSAt had a Project Manager Orientation which went well. The next day, I went to the computer shops in Gilmore and bought myself pretty colored cds and a mini-mouse at CDR King Too bad they didn’t have the mouse in white which would have matched my laptop perfectly. I also bought new ink for my printer. *sigh* Everything seems to be related to school!

At least weekends are my salvation. June 24, 2005, last Friday, hunbun and I went to Theater Mall. We were only supposed to be shopping since I really want a new bag and a new jacket. *hehe* But the rain was pouring really hard that we were forced to sit it out. So we decided to have dinner at Sugar House and watch Batman Begins. Hunbun was terribly against watching it at first but thankfully, we really liked the movie. It was better than what we expected. Two thumbs up! I even cried at the scenes where young Bruce Wayne lost his parents.

On Sunday, hunbun, mommy, my aunt, and I ate a The Old Spaghetti House one minute away from our home. I really love that place with the warm ambience and yummy food. Oh, my aunt just came back from her short trip to Hong Kong and had presents for us! I got a nice light blue Bossini jacket and pair of white sandals that were supposed to be my mom’s. *lol* Hunbun got a blue polo.

Today, I accompanied hunbun to do some of his errands. We also went to Greenhills and found out that TheaterMall was closed due to fire. Some of my favorites shops are located there. I also had my Singles 2 cd exchanged and I can’t wait to try it out! I hope the next days won’t be so stressful anymore…

Day One

Today was my first day of school. It didn’t go quite as well as I hoped it would be. *big sigh* I convinced hunbun to fetch me at about 7am so that we could go to school together. Everything was going according to plan until we encountered extreme traffic near Katipunan. We had to find an alternate route on the spot which luckily, we did. When we finally got to school, I hurried to the Philosophy department to submit my load revision form (request for a change of my class schedule). I have a four hour break every M-W-F. Later on in the day, I found out I had filled out a part of the form incorrectly. Oh, well! My request did not get approved anyway, regardless of the fact that I already talked to the teacher involved. Hunbun even helped me text and email the teacher.

All my classes for today and every Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester are Computer Science major subjects. The good thing is that all my classrooms are airconditioned. Essential since the heat in my now overpopulated university is too much! My teachers seem intimidating and so are the subject matters. I’m terribly unprepared for the inhumane work load. We had CS152 lab today and we actually consumed the whole 3 hours for a electronics exercise. I have a really bad feeling that my junior year first semester is going to be extremely tough.

Oh, during lunch, my blockmates and I had no where to sit inside the cafeteria since the place seemed to be occupied wall-to-wall with freshmen. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was like they were swarming and taking over the whole campus. *shock* We had to settle for an outside bench. Well, hunbun picked me up soon after and brought me to his block’s “bench”. We ate lunch together since this is the only break we have together - as far as I know. I’m getting slightly sentimental now since hunbun won’t be around next school year.

Yay for Time Off

Before going to the long entry ahead, here’s some domain updates. I’ve totally revamped Inseparable, which is Nata and Gretch’s (meaning hunbun and I) love blog. I’ve made my very own WordPress 1.5 theme entitled Love Connection. I’m very proud of it. *hehe* Inseparable is now also a personal site complete with our love story, pictures, little love notes, and all the mushy couple stuff. I think it even looks better than this journal. *tsk tsk* I will definitely revamp this too! Goodbye dynamic inclusion, hello WordPress pages. Oh, I’ve also added more pictures to Memories. Lastly, I’ve finally moved all my Tabulas archives dating way back to February of 2004 here. My Tabulas blog will mainly contain quizzes, memes, and web stuff.

Last May 26, 2005, hunbun and I went to Body Worx which is a fitness gym nearby. We checked it out since hunbun is going to apply for a gym membership there. The only bad point is that the whole building smells like mint mixed with sweat. *sigh* You do get used to it though so it’s okay, hopefully. I do love the group class they offer such as belly dancing, cardio funk, cardio strip tease, and so much more! Most of all, I love the spa. I so look forward to getting full body massages, milk with honey baths, and chocolate wrap treatments. Good thing too, because I can avail of hunbun’s member rate when I’m with him. Yay! Afterwards, we ate at Kimono Ken, a new Japanese restaurant along Tomas Morato. It was a treat by hunbun’s brother, Ken. *lol* I love the Asian fusion, contemporary design with well-placed oriental accents, they had. The food is yummy and affordable too. (Now, I get why my journal can seem like a restaurant guide.)

Late afternoon on the next day, I was fetched by hunbun’s driver. I was meeting hunbun near his office to go to Rockwell. We window shopped a little then found out that we were almost late for our movie, so we ate at Kaya at lightning speed. We watched Madagascar. It was so hilariously funny! We were literally laughing through the whole movie. I really loved it especially Merman the Giraffe, voice acted by David Shwimmer. I feel connected to his whole sickly act for some reason. *hehe* “I want to move it, move it!”
