To Birthdays and Long Life
Pardon the temporary default Kubrick layout. *hehe* I finally upgraded my WordPress 1.2 to WordPress 1.5.1.3 last July 8, 2005. I had planned to do this for so long now.
And I was forced with the sudden onslaught of heavy spammage. Did I mention I love the spam prevention features of 1.5 in Inseparable? As you can see, I am in the process of revamping all the contents too.
I hope *cross fingers* to get it done soon.
Last June 28, I watched Monster-In-Law with hunbun, mommy, and san-e in Greenhills Promenade. It was a feel-good romantic comedy and I loved it. But I would very much hate it though if I had that horrible a mother-in-law.
Before that, I went on a little shopping spree and bought myself a cute pair of jeans from Kamiseta. It had an adorable pink and yellow stitch detail. Hunbun and I also had an early dinner at Fuzion. *ugh* Never eat there. The place is overpriced with yucky food.
That Friday (July 1, 2005), hunbun and I went to Power Plant. We had dinner at Kaya, our favorite Korean restaurant, and watched War of the Worlds. It was a great special effects movie but the ending was really anti-climatic. And I finally bought a new bag - and it’s the one I’ve been eying for quite a while now.
Mine is in reversible pink and black. *huggles it*
We celebrated hunbun’s dad’s birthday on July 3. His actual birthday was not until July 5, 2005 though. We ate at Emerald Garden. *mmm* Hunbun’s whole family was there and his dad’s Chinese friends. They talked about sports and illnesses over the dinner table. It was a bit disturbing and definitely not appetizing for me. But my favorite dessert -honey taro- was there and that was good enough for me.
I made (as hunbun calls it) the second joke of my life last July 6, 2005.
Steph and I were heading for our booth shifts when we met Allan.
me: Sec-C *point to the direction*
Allan: ano?
me: kami
me and Steph: lol!
(extra) hunbun: lol *sigh*
I only had one class the next day - Thursday. My groupmates and I worked on our history project. Then I went to the Guidance Office for my routine counselling with Ms. Riza. It felt great to talk. Going all the way back to my freshman days, I’ve never felt sure I was in the right course - Computer Science? I’m still not 100% sure now. But at least I’ve realized that I need to go through this hardship in order to attain my future goal which is have an e-commerce business and be a web developer or designer. Shortly afterwards, I got a terrible headache. I guess that little enlightenment caused me to have a migrain.
That night my whole family went to Harbor City for dinner slash get-together because it was mom’s birthday! I was really amused with all the funny high schol stories Ahia Mike had and my sibling’s children’s escapades. *heh*
We had no classes on July 8, 2005. And we had an air-conditioner installed in our living room! *yay* That afternoon, hunbun and I made an excel database of all the movies we’ve ever watched together. Although, I think I lost some of the tickets.
We also watched the Thai movie “Shutter”. It was scary. Eep!
The next day, I accompanied mom in praying the rosary. It’s because she is going to have an operation to take out her gall stones. Mom had surgery on July 12, 2005. I went to the hospital to visit her every day she was confined. But she had a good recovery. Thank you Lord.
She just came home yesterday.
