Mid-Autumn Stress Season

Life has been nothing but a blur lately. I can’t believe it already a month since I last had an entry! Teachers have been cramming everything (emphasis on everything) in the last few weeks of the semester! It’s been projects, long tests, orals, defenses, presentations, and exams left and right! I feel incredibly stressed out. Not to mention, I’m so anxious and worried because I might not be able to reach the Dean’s List cut off. *sniff* I don’t want my record to break. It’s really getting harder and harder each semester; or maybe I just got the wrong teachers! Tough luck.

I actually had a hard time remembering all the events in the last four weeks. *hehe* It’s like a part of me has been cut off from the world. :bleh: Oh, this is going to be an extremely long post. Last September 4, 2005, we had a family get together and “Pua Dong Chiu” (dice game). It also served as the send off party for my auntie who just finished her chemotheraphy. It was really really fun bonding with everybody and the prizes were great! Everyone pitched in for the food and dinner was delicious! I love the Mid-Autumn Festival season! The next few days are Nata Appreciation Days! *lol*

On September 10, 2005, hunbun and I were both busy with our respective projects. We were both in Seattle’s Best along Katipunan though. It’s a really nice place for group projects especially with the availability of outlets and yummy (cookies and cream) drink. Too bad there’s always lots of people there. *hehe* JV and I were making the first and second deliverable for CS123. Afterwards, hunbun and I had lunch in Kenny Rogers next door. It’s been a long time since I’ve eaten there; I remembered it was because the food was so-so. We were uncomfortably so full afterwards. *lol*

A Little Bit Free

I made a new theme! It’s pink and girly and entitled Heavenly Princess! As usual, more information can be found here.

Well, the period of depression came and gone. It peaked on August 25, 2005. Thank goodness my hunbun was there to get me through. Well, I just resolved to try even harder. *sigh* I really hope I reach the Dean’s List cut off this semester…

Anyway, I finally got my braces off last August 27, 2005! Yay! But it felt really odd and weird when they were gone - like something’s missing from my teeth. I got my pink retainers that Tuesday. Yes, my retainers are in neon pink. *hehe* My dentist didn’t menton that I could get them in clear, so I just made the best out of it. Good thing it matches a lot of my stuff. I tried them on immediately and noticed that I spoke very differently with them on. I had a bad case of the lisp. Obviously, my hunbun and my friends poked fun at me. *hmph* And since I talk really fast, the retainers slurr my words together and make them really incomprehensible. Hopefully, sooner of later I’ll get the hang of speaking with retainers.

On August 29, 2005, we had no classes. It was quite good timing since Vassy and I got to spend a little girlfriend bonding time together. Hunbun drove us to Greenhills. Actually, hunbun and I just went to Greenhills the day before. *lol* The three of us ate lunch at Tender Bob’s. The food was absolutely delicious! We will definitely eat there again. :haha: Then, Vassy and I watched The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. The movie was definitely made for girls! I don’t even remember seeing any guys inside the cinema. The plot was not too deep but it still made us cry. Afterwards, we went shopping and I bought myself a cute pink jacket. We also met Abigail there - what a coincidence! Vassy and I caught up on each other’s lives and boys. *lol* It was a really nice day.

Yesterday, September 2, 2005, hunbun and I went on a date. *awww* Actually, we went to Rockwell’s The Loft for a concert entitled “Encore”. Hunbun will get bonus points in his subjects for going to the concert. He bought a ticket for himself, signed the necessary papers, and stayed in the venue for about 2 minutes. I just accompanied him being the dutiful girlfriend I am. Then, we headed for Powerplant for some window-shopping and dinner. We ate at Kaya again - obviously, we don’t get tired of that restaurant. :bleh: We got home really early, about 9pm. I decided to shoot two birds with one stone and watch Tatarin. It was an assigned movie for history class which I had to right a reaction paper about. It was an R18 film and very senseless, well for me. I so wouldn’t watch that again!

Today, I spent the whole morning doing the promotional materials for Celadon’s major food sale. And I spent this whole afternoon procrastinating. *hehe*

Get Togethers

Yay! I finally got around to making a theme for Cherubelle. It’s entitled Transcendentals and you can learn more about it here. And the content pages are 85% done. And feel free to contact me if something is amiss.

As usual, I’ve been really busy with life. *heh* Last July 17, 2005, hunbun and his future-sister-in-law Greer had an early birthday celebration at Gulliver’s of San Francisco, Great Eastern Hotel. The restaurant had a really fine and romantic atmosphere. Too bad I’m not a fan of their food. Of course, hunbun officially turned 21 last July 19. I made him a little graphic but he chose his own birthday gift. The two of us had a mini-celebration during lunch at The Old Spaghetti House in Libis. That night, my family treated hunbun to an impromptu birthday dinner at Kaya, Podium. Yum!

July 23, 2005 was Kaingin’s “Big Day”. Hunbun and I were almost late yet again since the call time was really early. Dianne rode with us in hunbun’s car (with driver) to Big Tom’s Resort, Rizal. The Kaingin EB really prepared for this and had a lot of planned activities. Still the most memorable one for me was the “killer” card game. I’m really not cut out to be a detective (ace) but I was a decent healer (queen). But during one point of the game, I healed hunbun but it turned out he was a killer and he killed my character. Bad hunbun! *lol* We went home around 5pm and some people hiched a ride to Ateneo. Afterwards, we changed clothes and headed directly to JV’s house for his birthday celebration. Good thing we made it but we missed the yummy food. The cake was incredibly yummy though! And I had a near-death experience at their attic. I was climbing the extremely steep stairs in stilettos holding a glass bowl of chips - then, I slipped. I was hanging on the doorknob to the attic for dear life! Thank God hunbun was there to keep me steady. *sigh of relief*

That wednesday, July 27, 2005, was an incredibly busy day for my organizations. First, I attended CompSAt’s EB meeting, then held Celadon’s major food sale GA, and dropped in to Kaingin’s make-up GA (which we really did not need to attend).

On Friday, July 29, 2005, we had a 6pm-8pm long test for CS101. Eep! Anyways, Lori, Kris, Gen, Steph, hunbun and I had a late dinner at Bento Box. We went there squeezed into hunbun’s 4-seater car. *hehe* The conversation was nice and it was a lot of fun but I was really tired that night.

The next day, I went to see my dentist and received good news! I will be having my braces removed in 3 weeks! Then, hunbun and I had lunch/snack in Quezon City Sports Club. I just can’t resist De Lai Shun’s fried squid with salt and pepper. *yum* Hunbun’s mom accompanied us to Podium supposedly to buy hunbun another pair of shoes. Well, coincidentally Just G was having a sale, so I bought 2 mini tees worth only Php200.00 each! I ate at hunbun’s house for dinner. Their barbeque viand was really delicious! And I got a lot of little keychain accessories from hunbun’s mom. She also gave me a shirt from Esprit but it’s too big for me. *aww*

On July 31, 2005, which was a Sunday, Steph and I were required to go to a field trip for our history class. Dianne and hunbun tagged along. I took some pictures but the trip itself was so blah. Probably the worse field trip ever! *lol* When we returned to Ateneo, I indulged myself to an order of fettuccini from Italiannis. :bleh: Afterwards, I slept soundly for 18 hours straight!

Day One

Today was my first day of school. It didn’t go quite as well as I hoped it would be. *big sigh* I convinced hunbun to fetch me at about 7am so that we could go to school together. Everything was going according to plan until we encountered extreme traffic near Katipunan. We had to find an alternate route on the spot which luckily, we did. When we finally got to school, I hurried to the Philosophy department to submit my load revision form (request for a change of my class schedule). I have a four hour break every M-W-F. Later on in the day, I found out I had filled out a part of the form incorrectly. Oh, well! My request did not get approved anyway, regardless of the fact that I already talked to the teacher involved. Hunbun even helped me text and email the teacher.

All my classes for today and every Tuesdays and Thursdays this semester are Computer Science major subjects. The good thing is that all my classrooms are airconditioned. Essential since the heat in my now overpopulated university is too much! My teachers seem intimidating and so are the subject matters. I’m terribly unprepared for the inhumane work load. We had CS152 lab today and we actually consumed the whole 3 hours for a electronics exercise. I have a really bad feeling that my junior year first semester is going to be extremely tough.

Oh, during lunch, my blockmates and I had no where to sit inside the cafeteria since the place seemed to be occupied wall-to-wall with freshmen. I’ve never seen anything like it. It was like they were swarming and taking over the whole campus. *shock* We had to settle for an outside bench. Well, hunbun picked me up soon after and brought me to his block’s “bench”. We ate lunch together since this is the only break we have together - as far as I know. I’m getting slightly sentimental now since hunbun won’t be around next school year.
